As part of my at-home thematic curriculum, we took RJ to the dirt track at the Petaluma Speedway. I wrote about it on my curriculum blog, Momma, Ph.D.:Applying Child Development Principles At Home.
In general we had a fun day that Saturday after getting a slow start to Petaluma (Honda dealer took forever to service my car). We ended up finding their farmer's market, which had Pony Rides for RJ!
Then we had sushi at Gohan right before heading to the races. RJ enjoyed his carburator roll (Crispy tempura prawns and cucumber, with tobiko and snow crab salad on the top for those who are interested). I love that the sushi restaurant even fit my transportation theme!
I think my favorite part of the races was seeing Logan with his earplugs. He looked liked he had Shrek ears!
