RJ & Logan go Cherry Picking

One Saturday in June, we decided to take the boys cherry picking up in Brentwood (where there are a lot of u-pick orchards) after going to the Livermore Rodeo parade. The parade was fun, but RJ was afraid of the clowns and the Shriners. He did seem to be quite excited about the prospect of picking cherries off of trees though.
Fortunately, the reality of cherry picking matched the hype, even with only a short nap (~30 minutes) in the car on the way there. While a lot of the cherries were at adult height or ladder height, there were PLENTY of cherries that RJ could pick from low branches he could reach all on his own.
But we also lifted him up for a few too.
We even got Logan in on the action.
When we got home, we made a pie. RJ helped with the crust and pitting the cherries.
Then we baked it.Then we ate it.
