After the NALS conference, we drove a couple of hours to Lafayette, IN, not to see Purdue, but to visit our dear friends, Heather and Iris.Sunny Dog was a good primer for RJ, since Heather and Iris have THREE doggies that he was thrilled to play with. He particularly liked their new doggie, Gizmo. RJ just ran through the house yelling Gizmooooooo. (Actually he started just calling him Mooooooooo until we added the Giz.) He also enjoyed being able to help give them Animal Crackers for snacks and letting them out to the back yard.
We unfortunately didn't get to stay very long, but packed in a wonderful meal at Red Seven, which is owned and operated by a friend of Heather and Iris, a great Pancake breakfast courtesy of Iris, and a trip to another park on RJ's US tour of playgrounds, and some yummy frozen custard. We enjoyed our visit - hopefully the next one will be a little longer!
